About

Huntington State Park centers on a 250-acre warm-water reservoir ideal for waterskiing, jet skiing, fishing, and swimming. The desert setting features distinctive cinnamon-colored buttes as a backdrop, with the park positioned between the forested Wasatch Plateau to the west and the rugged San Rafael Swell to the east. The campground contains 25 sites, all equipped with electrical and water hookups since a 2017 upgrade. Three sites offer full hookups including sewer. Pull-through sites exist but are narrow and unsuitable for rigs with slideouts; those campers should request back-in sites. Sites accommodate RVs up to 45 feet. Amenities include modern flush restrooms, hot showers, a dump station, fire pits, grills, and picnic tables at each site. The park is located just outside the town of Huntington, roughly two hours from both Salt Lake City and Green River. Beyond water recreation, the area offers access to OHV trails, mountain biking, and the geological formations of the San Rafael Swell. Boat decontamination is available by appointment.
