An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Located on the east side of Acton Lake in Hueston Woods State Park, this equestrian campground caters specifically to horse camping enthusiasts. The facility offers approximately 28 primitive campsites distributed along the bridle trail network, providing convenient access to 18 miles of well-maintained equestrian trails. The terrain features flat to gently sloping paths through beautiful mixed hardwood forests, making it suitable for riders of varying experience levels. The campground includes basic amenities with shower facilities and toilets available on-site. A dedicated riding arena is located within the campground and is operated by the Preble County Horseman's Association, available for practice or horse shows. For 2025, all campsites are primitive without electric hookups, though generators are welcome. Hueston Woods State Park encompasses nearly 3,000 acres across Butler and Preble counties, offering a scenic natural setting for multi-day horse camping trips. The equestrian area is managed in cooperation with the Ohio Horseman's Council and provides an excellent base for exploring the extensive trail system.
Directions
Hueston Woods State Park is located near Oxford, Ohio. To reach the campground, access it from the main park entrance and follow signs toward the camping and equestrian staging areas. The equestrian campground and regular campsites are located near the bridle trail network on the east side of Acton Lake.
