Quakertown Campground
Open for camping. Due to an INDOT project, the bridge on Dunlapsville Road adjacent to Quakertown SRA is closed through the 2026 recreation season. Access the campground via the detour route: State Road 101 to SR 44 to SR 1.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several rounds of thunderstorms are expected through Tuesday night. Locally heavy rainfall can be expected with the potential for storms to repeatedly track over the same locations. This will result in the potential for flash flooding.
About
Quakertown State Recreation Area sits on the shores of Brookville Lake in Franklin County, Indiana. The campground is part of the larger Brookville Lake complex, which includes over 400 campsites between Quakertown and Mounds SRA. Quakertown offers electric campsites with 20, 30, and 50 amp service, as well as full hookup sites with water connections. The campground features modern comfort stations with flush toilets and showers, and a dump station is available for RV waste disposal. A camp store serves the Brookville Lake complex. Nearby, Quakertown has a 3D archery range with 23 targets, open April through August. Brookville Lake is known for its recreational and sport fishing opportunities, with over 25 miles of hiking trails surrounding the lake. Boating access is available via Quakertown Ramp. Note that the beach at Quakertown SRA has been permanently closed due to declining usage.
