* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following counties, in Indiana, Dearborn, Fayette IN, Franklin IN, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union IN and Wayne, the following counties, in Kentucky, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and the following counties, in Ohio, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union OH and Warren. * WHEN...Through Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional thunderstorms are expected into Wednesday morning. Locally heavy rainfall and the potential for storms to repeatedly track over the same areas are possible. This will result in the potential for flash flooding.

Tailwater Shelter 2 is a day-use picnic shelter operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Brookville Lake in Franklin County, Indiana. Located at the base of Brookville Lake Dam, the shelter overlooks the Whitewater River and sits within a large open grassy area. The site includes a modern indoor restroom, electric plug-ins, a water spigot and fountain, and a cooking grill for group gatherings. This facility is a day-use area only and does not permit overnight camping. Visitors can reserve the shelter through Recreation.gov for picnics, family reunions, and other group events. The parking area accommodates up to 98 vehicles. The tailwater area below the dam is popular for cold water trout fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and rafting on the Whitewater River. Nearby Brookville Lake offers additional recreation including beaches, boat ramps, campgrounds, hiking trails, an 18-hole golf course, and shooting ranges.
Directions
From I-74 head west on Highway 52 for 15 miles to Brookville. Continue to State Route 101 North following signs to the Tailwater Recreation Area.
