About
Hemlock Lake Campground offers a peaceful retreat at a 28-acre man-made reservoir in Oregon's Umpqua National Forest. Surrounded by stands of mixed conifers, the lake reaches 33 feet deep and is regularly stocked with trout, making it a reliable fishing destination. Anglers can cast from the shore or launch non-motorized boats at the on-site ramp. The campground has 14 first-come, first-served tent and small trailer sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Two vault toilets serve the area, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Trash service is not provided; all waste must be packed out. A loop trail around the lake provides an easy hike with water views, and a nearby picnic area offers day-use space. Payment is handled via Scan and Pay through the Recreation.gov app. The access road and campground may be inaccessible during winter months due to snow. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., and the maximum stay is 14 consecutive nights. No motorized boats, OHVs, or fireworks are permitted.
