About
Sitting at 1,500 feet elevation along the South Umpqua River, Ash Flat Campground provides a peaceful retreat in a forest of mixed conifers and hardwoods. The campground features four shaded campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit, perfect for a relaxing getaway in any season. River beaches and beautiful downstream views are just steps away from the campsites, making it an ideal spot for swimming and enjoying the natural scenery. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Sites cost $10 per night with an additional $5 fee for extra vehicles. Campers should come prepared to be self-sufficient, as there is no potable water on site and all trash must be packed out. A vault toilet is available for visitor convenience. The campground accommodates vehicles up to 35 feet in length.
Directions
From Canyonville, turn off southeast Main Street onto southeast 3rd Street/OR-227. Continue on OR-227 for approximately 23 miles to Tiller. Turn left onto County Road 46 (South Umpqua Road) and continue for 18 miles. Campground is on the right.
