Alcohol Prohibitions

This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.

Aquatic Invasive Species

This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.

Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products

Ash Flat Campground offers a quiet retreat in the Umpqua National Forest, nestled among mixed conifers and hardwoods at 1,500 feet elevation. The South Umpqua River flows nearby, providing easy access to beaches and scenic downstream views. With only four campsites, the campground maintains an intimate, uncrowded atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. A vault toilet is available, and there is limited garbage service, though campers are encouraged to pack out trash. No potable water is provided, so bring your own supply. The campground accommodates vehicles up to 35 feet. Ash Flat operates year-round on a first-come, first-served basis at $10 per night. Payment is via pay envelopes at the fee station. Interagency Senior/Access passes receive a 50% discount on the single site fee. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the maximum stay is 14 days.

Directions

From Canyonville, OR, turn off of SE Main Street onto SE 3rd Street / OR-227. Continue on OR-227 for approximately 23 miles until reaching the town of Tiller, OR. Turn left onto County Road 46 (South Umpqua Road) and continue for 18 miles to Ash Flat Campground, located on the right side of the road.
