About
Hawk Creek Campground offers a unique camping experience in a secluded ravine setting along Hawk Creek, near its confluence with the Columbia River at Lake Roosevelt. The campground features 20 reservable sites with paved roads and parking spaces, accommodating RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. A small waterfall adds natural ambiance to the area, and the geological beauty of the ravine is particularly striking. The campground provides access to Lake Roosevelt via a small boat ramp and courtesy dock, making it popular for fishing, bird watching, kayaking, and canoeing. Campers can hike through the ravine to explore the confluence where Hawk Creek meets the Columbia River. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. The campground is close enough to Fort Spokane Visitor Center for convenience but far enough away to maintain a peaceful, private atmosphere. Facilities include vault toilets year-round, but there is no potable water on-site, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground is managed by the National Park Service as part of Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. Sites must be reserved in advance through Recreation.gov, and camping is limited to 14 consecutive nights per campground within a 30-day period.
