About
Hunters Group Site sits along the northern shoreline of Lake Roosevelt, a 130-mile reservoir on the Columbia River created by Grand Coulee Dam. The campground occupies a thick Ponderosa pine forest that provides ample shade, making it comfortable for extended stays. While there is no direct lake view from the campsites, a boat launch and beach are located within the facility. The area is abundant with wildlife including moose, elk, deer, and bald eagles. Lake Roosevelt offers excellent fishing for walleye, bass, rainbow trout, salmon, and sturgeon (limited season). Hunting is permitted in designated areas of the park. Families can enjoy educational programs, leisurely walks to the lake, or relaxing by the beach. The campground features three group sites, each accommodating up to 25 people and 5 vehicles. Maximum RV and trailer length is 30 feet. A dump/fill station is available nearby for a $10 fee ($5 with Senior/Access pass). Reservations are required through Recreation.gov or by calling 877-444-6777.
