An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan Counties until further notice due to current and expected smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Unhealthy levels for areas downwind from active wildfires. Be sure to check air monitors in your area before outdoor activities. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.

**Hawk Creek Campground and Boat Launch will be closed this season for the Hawk Creek Road Improvements and Stabilization project. ** The project includes: · Widening and paving Hawk Creek Road · Realigning Hawk Creek Road and constructing a riprap-armored bank with root wads and native willow plantings to prevent future erosion · Constructing soil-nail retaining walls upslope of the new road · Seeding and revegetating excavated or embanked slopes · Installing guardrails and signage This closure includes the campground, boat launch, and the waterway. There will be a gate at the Miles Creston intersection to keep people from driving in. A signed log boom across the west end of the Hawk Creek narrows will keep visitors from boating in. **The campground, boat launch, docks, and restroom facilities will be closed to the public throughout the duration of the project.**
