Winds on the Waterville Plateau and the western Columbia Basin will shift northwesterly in the evening. Winds will remain breezy overnight into Sunday with fair to poor humidity recoveries. * Affected Area: Waterville Plateau (Zone 706) and Western Columbia Basin (Zone 707). * Winds: Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Winds will shift northwesterly in the evening hours. * Relative Humidities: 12 to 22 percent. * Impacts: Rapid fire spread is likely with any new or ongoing fires.

**Hawk Creek Campground and Boat Launch will be closed this season for the Hawk Creek Road Improvements and Stabilization project. ** The project includes: · Widening and paving Hawk Creek Road · Realigning Hawk Creek Road and constructing a riprap-armored bank with root wads and native willow plantings to prevent future erosion · Constructing soil-nail retaining walls upslope of the new road · Seeding and revegetating excavated or embanked slopes · Installing guardrails and signage This closure includes the campground, boat launch, and the waterway. There will be a gate at the Miles Creston intersection to keep people from driving in. A signed log boom across the west end of the Hawk Creek narrows will keep visitors from boating in. **The campground, boat launch, docks, and restroom facilities will be closed to the public throughout the duration of the project.**
