About
Cloverleaf Campground is a small, primitive walk-in campground located near Gifford on Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. With only 7 tent sites tucked into a pine forest along a small bay, this campground offers a more rugged and private camping experience compared to larger developed campgrounds in the area. Each site features a picnic table and fire ring, and the campground includes vault toilets, but no potable water is available. The campground's walk-in design and remote location make it ideal for campers seeking solitude and a connection with nature. Sites are accessed via a steep, unpaved trail from a paved parking area. The setting provides beautiful views of Lake Roosevelt with direct shoreline access for fishing, kayaking, and water recreation. The surrounding pine forest and shrubs create a scenic natural environment. Operating from May through September, Cloverleaf is reservation-only through Recreation.gov and typically doesn't fill as quickly as other campgrounds in the recreation area. The location is unstaffed, and campers should come prepared with their own water and supplies, as shopping options are very limited nearby. Gifford Campground with a boat launch is located just 1.2 miles south.
