About

Hartman Creek State Park Group Campground provides five group camping sites designed for larger parties in central Wisconsin. The sites are nestled within two distinct settings: a red pine forest or an old apple orchard mixed with hardwoods. Group sites feature picnic tables and fire rings, with most sites being tent-only, though some may accommodate wheeled camping units. A few group sites at Wisconsin state parks have electrical hookups, but availability varies. The park spans approximately 1,500 acres near the Chain O' Lakes, a series of spring-fed lakes popular for swimming, fishing, and non-motorized boating. The family campground area has two shower and flush toilet buildings that campers can access. Firewood is available for purchase on-site; Wisconsin regulations require campers to use only certified firewood or wood sourced within 10 miles of the park due to forest pest concerns. The park is located about an hour and 15 minutes from Green Bay and two hours north of Madison, making it accessible for weekend group outings. Reservations are made through the Wisconsin State Park System online portal, and a vehicle admission sticker is required for entry.
