About

High Cliff State Park Group Campground provides 8 group campsites along the northeastern shore of Lake Winnebago in Calumet County. As Wisconsin's only state-owned recreation area on the state's largest lake, the park offers a unique camping experience with water access and scenic bluffs rising above the lake. Group sites accommodate tent camping and feature picnic tables and fire rings. Campers share access to the flush toilet and shower building located in the adjacent family campground area, which operates seasonally from approximately May through mid-October. Vault toilets are dispersed throughout the campground for additional convenience. A sanitary dump station and recycling/garbage station are free to use for registered campers. The park sits at the base of the Niagara Escarpment, offering hiking trails along the limestone cliffs and effigy mounds. A 12-foot statue of Winnebago Tribe Chief Red Bird overlooks the lake from the bluffs above.
