About
High Cliff State Park is the only state-owned recreational area on Lake Winnebago, Wisconsin's largest lake at 137,700 acres. The family campground features 112 campsites set along the base of the Niagara Escarpment, with dramatic limestone cliffs rising above. Thirty-two sites offer 20/30-amp electric hookups, and two sites are ADA-accessible with paved driveways and pathways to restroom facilities. Amenities include a flush toilet and hot shower building open seasonally from May through mid-October, with vault toilets available throughout the campground year-round. A sanitary dump station is free for registered campers. The park office sells firewood. Campground hosts are present from April through October. Beyond camping, the park offers hiking trails along the escarpment, swimming at a Lake Winnebago beach, a marina with boat launch, and fishing. The park is home to effigy mounds and the historic lime kiln ruins. An accessible cabin accommodating up to six people is also available from May through mid-October.
