In north central Wyoming, Bighorn Mountains Southeast, Bighorn Mountains West, Northeast Johnson County, Southeast Bighorn Basin and Southeast Johnson County. In northwest Wyoming, Absaroka Mountains, Cody Foothills, Jackson Hole, North Bighorn Basin, Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains and Yellowstone National Park. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central Teton County in northwestern Wyoming along the Idaho border... * WHEN...Until 845 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 545 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Darby Creek, Moose Creek, North Fork Game Creek, Teton Creek, Kiln Creek and South Fork Game Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grant Village Campground occupies a prime location on the southwest shore of Yellowstone Lake at 7,800 feet elevation. As one of the largest campgrounds in Yellowstone, it offers over 400 individual sites plus 8 group sites accommodating tents, RVs up to 50 feet, and combination camping. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. The campground provides 17 restroom buildings with flush toilets and cold running water, most featuring dishwashing stations. Camper amenities include coin-operated showers and laundry facilities at the camper services building, plus an RV dump station. While there are no utility hookups, the nearby Grant Village area (about 1 mile) offers a general store, restaurants, gas station, post office, and visitor center. A boat ramp provides access to Yellowstone Lake. The campground operates seasonally from late June through late September. Reservations are handled through Yellowstone National Park Lodges for 2026, with Recreation.gov taking over starting in 2027. Generators are permitted at RV sites only between 8am and 8pm at a maximum of 60 decibels. Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am. Access and Senior Pass holders receive a 50% camping discount.
