About

Grant Village Campground is one of Yellowstone's largest campgrounds, situated at 7,800 feet elevation in a lodgepole pine forest on the southwest shore of Yellowstone Lake. The campground offers over 400 regular sites plus 8 group sites, accommodating tents, RVs up to 50 feet, and combination setups. Located just off the Grand Loop Road, it provides easy access from the South Entrance and is positioned near the scenic West Thumb Geyser Basin with its boardwalk system showcasing thermal features along the lakeshore. The campground offers modern amenities including 17 comfort stations with flush toilets and cold running water, dishwashing stations, and a camper services building with coin-operated showers and laundry facilities. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire grate, with water accessible nearby. While there are no utility hookups at individual sites, an RV dump station is available seasonally. The sites range from partly shady to sunny, and three ADA-accessible sites feature extended picnic tables and raised fire grates. Grant Village itself, located approximately one mile from the campground, provides full services including restaurants, a general store with groceries, gas station with fuel and propane, gift shop, and post office. The National Park Service operates a visitor center, ranger station, and amphitheater with evening programs. The campground is managed by Yellowstone National Park Lodges with advance reservations available.
