About

French Creek State Park encompasses 7,730 acres of forest, lakes, wetlands, and fields in the Schuylkill Highlands, forming the largest block of contiguous forest between Washington D.C. and New York City. The park's main campground features 201 wooded sites spread across four loops (A, B, C, and D), catering to both tent campers and RVs. Over 60 sites offer electric hookups, with some providing full hookups including water, sewer, and electricity. The campground is equipped with modern amenities including warm showers and flush toilets, with ADA accessible sites available. Pets are permitted in A loop and C loop only. Beyond traditional camping, the park offers diverse lodging options including 10 modern cabins that sleep six people year-round, three camping cottages in the campground that sleep five, two canvas yurts with cooking facilities, and new glamping sites. The park also accommodates organized groups with rustic group tenting areas and two group cabin camps. French Creek State Park provides extensive recreational opportunities with multiple lakes for fishing and swimming, numerous hiking trails including the 3.6-mile Turtle Trail along French Creek, and a swimming pool. The park's forests and diverse habitats make it a popular destination for wildlife viewing and outdoor recreation in southeastern Pennsylvania.
