About
Bellevue State Park is a 331-acre day-use recreation area in New Castle County, Delaware, situated on the former estate of William H. du Pont Jr. The park overlooks the Delaware River and features a variety of outdoor amenities including a 1-1/8 mile fitness track with exercise stations, a catch-and-release fishing pond, multi-use trails for walking, jogging, and cycling, and an 18-hole disc golf course. In winter, outdoor ice skating is available.
The park preserves several historic structures including Bellevue Hall, Cauffiel House, and the Mount Pleasant Meeting House and Parsonage. Two recreation concessions operate within the park: the Bellevue Tennis Center and Wellspring Farms. Three pavilions with grills, volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits are available for rental. From June through August, evening concerts and performances are held at the Bandshell, and Lunch Time Concerts occur on the Arts Center patio.
This is a day-use facility only. Overnight camping is not available at Bellevue State Park. Visitors seeking campgrounds should consider Cape Henlopen, Delaware Seashore, Killens Pond, Lums Pond, or Trap Pond State Parks.
