About

Ridley Creek State Park encompasses over 2,606 acres of Delaware County woodlands and meadows, offering a rare camping opportunity in the densely populated Philadelphia suburbs. The park provides organized group tenting for qualified groups such as scout troops, school groups, and nonprofit organizations from April through October. Two rustic group tenting units (Unit A and Unit B) each accommodate up to 80 people, with a total capacity of 120 persons in the group camping area. The group tenting area features flush toilets and access to a playground and playfield, though no showers are available. Six picnic pavilions can also be reserved, with two accessible for people with disabilities. Pets are permitted at pavilion sites but prohibited at the organized group tenting sites. The park maintains quiet hours from 9 p.m. to 8 a.m., and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Beyond camping, the park offers hiking trails, fishing along Ridley Creek, horseback riding, biking, hunting in designated areas, and wildlife watching. The Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation, a living history farm, operates seasonally within the park. The park is open sunrise to sunset year-round with no entrance fees.
