Holiday Closures December 25th and January 1st

Hopewell Furnace roads, visitor center and facilities are closed Sunday December 25th, 2022 and Sunday January 1st, 2023 for the Holidays. Park grounds and trails will remain open.

Park Closure - Saturday, January 6, 2024

Due to winter weather conditions, Hopewell Furnace will be closed the remainder of the day on Saturday, January 6 with a possible delayed opening on Sunday, January 7, depending on conditions with access into the park.

East Parking Lot Restoration

Restoration of the parking lot East side of Route 345 (off Hopewell Rd) is anticipated to start this week.  No parking North of Hopewell Rd and slight trail & bridge diversions will be necessary during the project, anticipated to be completed Spring 2024.

Building Closures - Winter Weather

Due to the recent snowstorm, the Hopewell Furnace Visitor Center and Ironmaster's Mansion will be closed on Thursday February 15, 2024. The parking lot, park grounds, and majority of village structures will remain open.

Apple Picking will not be Available for the 2025 Season.

A limited yield was expected this year but as particular varieties approached their ideal ripeness, virtually no apples were present. Learn more about the historic orchard

Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated colder locations could see temperatures fall below 32 degrees.
