Open — Sam Stowe Campground is open year-round with full hookup sites. Castle Rock Campground is closed for winter and reopens in April. Reservations available for stays March 15 through November 15. Winter camping at Sam Stowe requires self-contained units as restrooms with showers close during winter season.

Fremont Indian State Park protects one of the most significant archaeological sites in Utah, preserving artifacts and rock art from the ancient Fremont people. The park features two campgrounds serving different needs. Sam Stowe Campground is the year-round facility offering seven full hookup sites with 30/50 amp power, water, and sewer, accommodating large RVs. It includes flush restrooms with coin-operated showers, two rental cabins, a unique modernized pit house for overnight stays, and a large group area with hookups. Castle Rock Campground sits in a picturesque canyon and provides 31 sites for tents and RVs up to 40 feet, including two teepee sites for a distinctive camping experience. This campground closes during winter when snow covers the access road. The park's museum showcases pottery, baskets, and arrowheads from the Fremont culture, complemented by 12 interpretive rock art trails. Hiking and biking trails span 15 miles, and the renowned Paiute ATV Trail passes through the park. Located along Interstate 70 at exit 17, about 21 miles southwest of Richfield in central Utah's Clear Creek Canyon, the park offers convenient access for travelers while providing an immersive historical and outdoor experience.
