About

Dry Creek Guard Station is a historic U.S. Forest Service administrative cabin nestled in the backcountry of Fishlake National Forest in south-central Utah. Located approximately 21 miles from Marysvale via the Monroe Mountain Road and Forest Road 071, the guard station sits at an elevation that provides access to the surrounding forest for administrative operations. The facility features a small two-room cabin equipped with one twin bed, two bunk beds, and a kitchen area. A vault toilet is available on site, though there is no potable water available. Unlike other guard stations on Fishlake National Forest that have been converted to public rental cabins through Recreation.gov, Dry Creek Guard Station remains designated exclusively for administrative use by Forest Service personnel and is not available for public reservation or overnight stays.
