About
Koosharem Guard Station is a historic Forest Service cabin situated in Fishlake National Forest in Sevier County, Utah. The three-room structure features a queen bed, two bunk beds, a kitchen, and a bathroom with flush toilet. Potable drinking water is available from faucets on site. Unlike other guard stations in Fishlake National Forest such as Aquarius, Big Flat, Gooseberry, and Mt. Terrill that have been converted to public rental cabins, Koosharem Guard Station remains designated for administrative use only. It is not available for public reservations through Recreation.gov or any other booking system. The guard station is accessed via Koosharem Canyon Road (FR076) and Forest Roads 068 and 163. While the surrounding area offers recreation opportunities including the Koosharem Canyon/Paiute ATV Trailhead, the guard station itself is reserved for Forest Service operations.
