About

Fourmile Lake Campground occupies a scenic position at the southern boundary of the 113,400-acre Sky Lakes Wilderness, where the High Cascades stretch from Crater Lake National Park south to Fourmile Lake. The campground and adjacent day use area provide a jumping-off point for wilderness exploration, with the Pacific Crest Trail passing within two miles. Mt. McLoughlin dominates the skyline, and the clear, pristine snowmelt lake features a sandy and pebbly shoreline. The campground accommodates tent campers and RVs up to 47 feet with 22 standard nonelectric sites and 9 dedicated equestrian sites featuring horse corrals and stock-loading facilities in the upper portion. Amenities are intentionally minimal: vault toilets, hand-pump water, picnic tables, and campfire rings. There is no electricity, no cell service, and no hookups. A boat ramp provides lake access for kayaks, canoes, and small watercraft. Recreation opportunities include hiking, backpacking, fishing, horseback riding, bird watching, and stargazing. Lake of the Woods resort is six miles away on Highway 140 for additional services. The campground enforces a 14-day stay limit, quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM, and requires dogs on leash at all times.
