Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products
This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order.
Fremont-Winema National Forest 14 Day Stay Limit
Pursuant to 16 USC § 551 and 36 CFR § 261.50 (a) and (b), the following acts are prohibited upon all lands, roads, and trails administered by the Fremont-Winema National Forest as described in this order.
About
Aspen Point Group Campground is situated on the scenic northeast shore of Lake of the Woods in the Fremont-Winema National Forest. This group campground offers a large site that can accommodate up to 100 guests, making it ideal for large gatherings, family reunions, or organizational events. The campground is equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, drinking water, and flush toilets, along with nearby boat ramp and beach access. The 1,250-acre Lake of the Woods provides excellent opportunities for fishing rainbow trout, brown trout, Kokanee salmon, bass, and perch. Visitors enjoy swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking on trails that lead into towering conifer forests. The campground is located approximately 40 minutes west of Klamath Falls via Highway 140 and Forest Roads 3704 and 3704-060. The area offers access to winter recreation including skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling when roads are accessible. Crater Lake National Park is a nearby attraction. The campground sits at an elevation surrounded by volcanic landscapes, timbered slopes, and the nearby Sky Lakes Wilderness, which features over 200 lakes and ponds.
Directions
From the Klamath Falls Ranger District Office, go 1 mile to Oregon Avenue. Turn right and go approximately 5 miles to Highway 140 West. Merge onto Highway 140 and go approximately 26 miles to Forest Road 3704. Turn left and go approximately 1 mile to Forest Road 3704-060. Turn right and go approximately 0.5 miles to the campground.
