About

Fort Casey State Park preserves one of the Puget Sound's historic "Triangle of Fire" coastal defense installations on Whidbey Island. The campground offers 35 sites spread across a wooded area with views of Admiralty Inlet and the Olympic Mountains beyond. Twenty-two standard sites accommodate tents and smaller RVs, while 13 partial-hookup sites provide water and electric connections for RVs up to 40 feet. Beyond camping, the park draws visitors to explore the massive concrete gun batteries built in the 1890s and the photogenic 1903 Admiralty Head Lighthouse with its interpretive center and gift shop. The wide parade grounds offer excellent kite flying, and a boat launch provides Puget Sound access. The park lies within Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, connecting to miles of trails across the historic agricultural landscape. Note that U.S. Navy jets from nearby Naval Air Station Whidbey Island conduct training flights that may pass over the campground at various times, creating intermittent noise depending on wind direction and flight patterns.
