About

Quarry Pond is the newest and only year-round campground at Deception Pass State Park, Washington's most-visited state park. The campground wraps around an attractive one-acre pond rimmed with exposed rock, located east of Highway 20 on Whidbey Island. Goose Rock, the park's highest point, rises to the north and offers sweeping views of the surrounding waterways and San Juan Islands. The campground contains 60 sites: 53 feature partial hookups with electric and water connections, while 7 standard sites accommodate tent campers. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. A central restroom building provides flush toilets and showers, and the campground includes a kitchen shelter and gazebo for group gatherings. Five primitive cabins are also available within the Quarry Pond area. Deception Pass State Park spans Whidbey and Fidalgo islands, connected by the iconic Deception Pass Bridge. The park offers over 38 miles of trails through old-growth forest, tidal pools, and dramatic coastal bluffs. The dump station is located at Cranberry Campground within the park.
