About

Flat Canyon Campground is located high on the Wasatch Plateau at 8,800 feet elevation in the Manti-La Sal National Forest. The campground offers easy paved access and serves as a convenient base for fishing, boating, and scenic recreation. An angler's trail connects the campground to nearby Boulger Reservoir, and Electric Lake is approximately one mile away. The campground sits on a hillside above the highway in an area where hundreds of hazardous trees have been removed, opening up the canopy and creating sunny campsites with minimal shade. Several large spruce trees remain, and the area features abundant grasses and summer wildflowers. The site includes 12 single-family campsites and one group site that accommodates up to 50 people. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water or garbage service, so campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. Popular activities include fishing, boating, hiking, biking, and scenic driving. The campground operates as a pack-in, pack-out facility with reservations available through Recreation.gov.
