Fairview Campground is a group camping area at Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this secluded site is popular for family reunions and large gatherings, accommodating up to 100 people with room for four RVs and multiple tent sites. The campground includes a large covered picnic shelter, pit toilets, and drinking water spigots. Fairview is entirely non-electric, so campers should plan accordingly. A dump station is available at the lake. Entry requires a gate key, which must be picked up from the Canadian Campground Gatehouse between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Canton Lake offers excellent fishing, particularly walleye. The annual Walleye Rodeo fishing derby in mid-May draws thousands of visitors. The lake also features sandy beaches for swimming and is popular for water skiing and personal watercraft. The nearby 14,862-acre Canton Wildlife Management Area provides hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, dove, and waterfowl.

Directions

From Canton, OK: Go 0.2 miles west on HWY 51, turn north on HWY 58A. Continue 2 miles north to a 3-way stop intersection. Continue straight (west) through the intersection, curving right to a 4-way stop. Continue straight briefly, then take the right fork to the Canadian Campground gatehouse to pick up the Fairview gate key. After getting the key, return to the second stop sign and turn left, traveling north over the dam on HWY 58A. Where the road forks, continue right on 58A until it intersects with HWY 58. Turn left on HWY 58 to Longdale. Continue through town 1 mile north (keeping left), then turn west on the secondary road. Continue west 3 miles to the campground.
