About

Alabaster Caverns State Park sits on 200 acres in northwest Oklahoma, centered around a rare 3/4-mile alabaster cavern that draws visitors for daily guided tours. The campground provides 30 sites across several categories: 10 semi-modern RV sites with 30-amp electric and water hookups (one ADA pull-through with 50-amp), 11 primitive tent sites, group shelters, and a group tent area. The Mesa Campground loop (sites 1-9) offers tree-lined, level concrete pads with asphalt approaches near a comfort station featuring hot-water pay showers. Site 10 sits outside the loop surrounded by trees. Grills, picnic tables, a playground with rock climbing wall, and an amphitheater round out the facilities. Beyond camping, the park offers four wild caves maintained for spelunking (permit required, closed October through April for bat hibernation). The main cavern tours run hourly from 9am to 4pm daily, limited to 30 visitors per tour. A unique cave camping experience in Water Cave is available by reservation through the park office.
