About

Big Bend Park sits on the shores of Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma, hosting thousands of campers, fishermen, boaters, and hunters annually. The campground features 102 back-in campsites with 30 amp electric and water hookups, plus 12 primitive non-electric sites. Many sites offer sweeping views of the lake and are shaded by eastern cottonwood, post oak, blackjack oak, American elm, sycamore, and silver maple trees. Canton Lake is renowned for walleye fishing, with the annual Walleye Rodeo in mid-May drawing thousands of participants for the four-day tournament. The lake's broad expanse near the dam provides excellent conditions for personal watercraft, tubing, and water skiing, while gently sloping beaches on the north shore attract swimmers and sunbathers. Four boat ramps provide lake access, and a disc golf course is available in the day-use area. Hunters can access the adjacent 14,862-acre Canton Wildlife Management Area, home to whitetail deer, wild turkey, bobwhite quail, squirrel, rabbits, dove, and waterfowl. The campground is located about 30 minutes from Roman Nose State Park and Glass Mountains State Park, with restaurants, a casino, and a nine-hole golf course within three miles.
