About
Blaine Park is located on Canton Lake in northwest Oklahoma on the North Canadian River, just 2.5 miles from the town of Canton. The campground features 13 non-electric campsites with pads large enough to accommodate camper trailers, though generators are required for power. Amenities include pit toilets, solar-powered well drinking water, a nature trail, and a playground. The location is unstaffed and self-service.
Canton Lake is renowned for its walleye fishing, hosting the annual Walleye Rodeo fishing derby in mid-May that draws thousands of visitors. The lake's broad expanse offers excellent opportunities for personal watercraft, tubing, water skiing, and swimming along gently sloping sandy beaches. The shores feature native trees including eastern cottonwood, post and blackjack oak, and black willow, supplemented with shade species like elm, sycamore, and silver maple.
Nearby attractions include the 14,862-acre Canton Wildlife Management Area, home to whitetail deer, wild turkey, bobwhite quail, and waterfowl. Restaurants, a casino, and a 9-hole golf course are within 3 miles. Roman Nose State Park and Glass Mountains State Park are about 30 minutes away, and a disc golf course is located 4 miles away in the Big Bend Recreation Area.
