Boiling Springs State Park is an 820-acre natural oasis located 6 miles northeast of Woodward in the rolling gypsum hills of northwestern Oklahoma. The park's namesake comes from the natural artesian springs that bubble up through the sandy soil, creating a unique ecosystem of blackjack oak forest surrounded by otherwise arid High Plains landscape. The spring-fed 7-acre Lake Shaul provides fishing opportunities while the park's interpretive center showcases the natural spring phenomenon. The campground features 63 total sites across multiple accommodation types. Ten modern RV sites offer full hookups with 20/30/50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections, with six of these being pull-through sites up to 50 feet. Thirty semi-modern RV sites provide 20/30-amp electric and water hookups in back-in configurations accommodating rigs up to 50-60 feet. Twelve primitive tent sites are available for those seeking a more rustic experience. Four cabins offer climate-controlled comfort with kitchenettes, fireplaces, and linens provided. Park amenities include a swimming pool with concession stand, restrooms with showers, over 150 picnic tables and grills, three reservable pavilions, playgrounds, and five hiking trails of varying lengths. Two group camps can accommodate large gatherings with bunkhouse sleeping for up to 168 and 144 guests respectively, each with kitchen and dining hall facilities. An adjacent 18-hole golf course is privately operated.
