About
Enterprise Designated Dispersed Camp Area is located within the Dixie National Forest near Enterprise Reservoir in Washington County, Utah. This primitive camping area sits in a pinyon-juniper forest surrounded by distinctive volcanic tuff rock formations. The reservoir area is popular for fishing, boating, kayaking, and wildlife viewing. Unlike typical dispersed camping where you can camp anywhere, this area restricts camping to designated sites only, identified by tent symbols with numbers. This restriction exists to protect the soil, water, and vegetation resources from overuse around the Upper Enterprise Reservoir. The restriction applies to National Forest System lands on the south side of Upper Enterprise Reservoir, around Honeycomb Rocks Campground, and along NFSR 288 and northern portions of NFSR 003. As a dispersed camping area, no services or amenities are provided. Campers must be fully self-sufficient, bringing their own water and packing out all trash and waste. Campfires are permitted when fire restrictions are not in effect, but campers must ensure fires are completely extinguished and cool to the touch before leaving.
Directions
From Enterprise, Utah, head west on UT-219 for approximately 13 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 005 and continue for about 5 miles to reach the designated dispersed camping area near Enterprise Reservoir.
