* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southwestern Muskingum County in east central Ohio... * WHEN...Until 500 PM EDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1041 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding along Cannelville Road to the east of Roseville. Flooding is already occurring. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain fell overnight. Additional rain of less than 0.5 inch is expected into early afternoon. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Zanesville, South Zanesville, Philo, Fultonham, Cannelville, East Fultonham, Duncan Falls and Blue Rock State Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Ellis Lock #11 Campground sits along the Muskingum River State Park, part of Ohio's historic hand-operated lock system that has been in continuous operation since the 1840s. The American Society of Civil Engineers designated this navigation system as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark, making it a unique destination combining camping with living history. The campground provides 20 primitive, non-electric sites suitable for tents and smaller RVs up to 30 feet. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with vault toilets and potable water available in the campground. The riverside location offers excellent fishing opportunities and direct boat access via the on-site boat ramp. Boaters transiting the Muskingum River are permitted to camp at all lock areas. While the lock itself no longer functions, the campground and day-use areas remain operational seasonally from April 1 through October 31. This is a basic facility best suited for campers seeking a quiet, rustic experience along the river rather than full-service amenities.
