Blue Rock State Park Shelters

Open — Open year-round for reservations. Reservations available through the Ohio State Parks system.

About

Blue Rock State Park's three reservable shelterhouses provide covered gathering spaces throughout the scenic 322-acre park in Muskingum County. Two of the shelters have electricity, and all feature fireplaces. One shelter is positioned near the picturesque Blue Rock Covered Bridge. The shelters are surrounded by rugged hills and rich green forests, with access to nearby amenities including a 15-acre lake, swimming beach, hiking trails, and recreational facilities. These day-use structures are popular venues for weddings, reunions, and special events. The park's location offers opportunities for fishing, boating with electric motors, and exploring several miles of hiking trails that connect to the adjacent Blue Rock State Forest.
