Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 442 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding in the warned area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Blue Rock State Park Shelters are three day-use picnic shelter houses scattered throughout this quiet 322-acre park in the rolling hills of Muskingum County, Ohio. The shelters provide covered gathering spaces for groups, with two of the three offering electrical hookups. All three shelters feature fireplaces. One shelter sits near the historic Blue Rock Covered Bridge, adding scenic charm for special events. These are strictly day-use facilities, not overnight camping accommodations. The shelter houses are popular for weddings, family reunions, company picnics, and other group gatherings. Reservations are made through the Ohio State Parks reservation system. The park itself surrounds 15-acre Cutler Lake and offers hiking trails, swimming beach, and fishing opportunities for shelter visitors to enjoy during their event.
Directions
From Zanesville, take State Route 60 south approximately 12 miles to State Route 719. Turn left onto State Route 719 and follow signs to Blue Rock State Park at 7924 Cutler Lake Road, Blue Rock, OH 43720.
