Located in the scenic wooded hills and valleys of east-central Ohio, Dillon State Park Campground provides an outstanding base for exploring the 2,285-acre park surrounding Dillon Lake. The campground features 173 sites distributed across three well-maintained loops, offering a range of camping experiences from electric RV sites to walk-in primitive tent camping. The campground is equipped with modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. A commissary near the check-in station provides grocery items and laundry facilities for camper convenience. Electric sites accommodate RVs, while the walk-in non-electric sites offer excellent primitive camping experiences. All camping units must be backed into sites, and the campground enforces quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM with no visitors permitted during these times. Recreational opportunities abound at Dillon State Park. The lake offers boating and fishing access with quiet coves and inlets to explore. On land, visitors can enjoy a swimming beach, hiking trails through hardwood forests, mountain biking, horseback riding on designated trails, archery target practice, and gaga ball. The park's location in Ohio's rural hill country provides scenic views and exposures of Black Hand sandstone formations. With no entrance fees and year-round camping availability, Dillon State Park serves as a popular destination for both weekend getaways and extended stays.

Directions

From Zanesville, Ohio, take State Route 146 northwest for approximately 6 miles. Turn right onto Dillon Hills Drive to reach the park entrance.
