About

Located in Muskingum County at Dillon State Park, this equestrian-focused campground caters specifically to horse campers seeking trail access in east-central Ohio. The 20 primitive, non-electric sites are situated on their own road, providing separation from the family camping area. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with flush toilet restrooms within walking distance. Non-potable water is available for horses, along with a dedicated horse wash area and high lines for safely tethering horses at camp. The park offers approximately 19-24 miles of bridle trails through diverse terrain with scenic lake views. The trails wind through the wooded hills and valleys surrounding Dillon Lake, providing varied riding experiences. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance through ReserveOhio.com, and are recommended especially during the peak spring through fall season.
