Echo Bay RV Park is a secluded 55-site RV-only campground located on the northwestern portion of Lake Mead within Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The campground caters specifically to RV campers with electrical hookups and spacious sites designed to accommodate large rigs and boats. The facility provides modern amenities including flush toilets, showers, and potable water. The location offers excellent access to outdoor recreation and sightseeing. Echo Bay is positioned as a fisherman's and boater's paradise, though visitors should be aware that the Echo Bay boat launch ramp is currently closed due to low water levels. The nearest boat launch is approximately 30 miles south at Callville Bay. Alternative launch ramps are also available at Temple Bar and South Cove. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions including Valley of Fire State Park and the ruins of the historic town of St. Thomas. The campground is operated by Lake Mead Mohave Adventures as a concessionaire facility and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Sites accommodate RVs that meet RVIA standards. The area features the scenic Northshore Road Scenic Drive with red rock formations and picnic areas. Campers should be cautious of muddy shorelines near the receding lake waters, as vehicles and people have gotten stuck in areas that appear dry on the surface.

Directions

From Overton, take Northshore Road south. The Echo Bay turnoff is 10 miles south of the Northshore entrance station. The campground is approximately 5 miles from the Echo Bay turnoff. From Las Vegas, take Lake Mead Parkway east; the Echo Bay turnoff is 40 miles north on Northshore Road.
