Boulder Beach Group Campground is located just minutes from Las Vegas along the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead. Open year-round with reservations required, this facility features large paved sites designed specifically for tent camping groups of 12-30 people. Each site includes picnic tables, fire pits, and access to water spigots throughout the campground. Common area restrooms provide sinks and flush toilets but no showers. Lush vegetation including palm trees, oleanders, mature cottonwood trees, and native plants provide shade, and many sites offer pristine views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, and the River Mountains. The campground serves as an excellent base for recreation. Boulder Beach is about a 20-minute walk away, while Special Events Beach, Canoe/Kayak Beach, and PWC Beach are 1-2 miles from the campground, offering swimming, kayaking, and jetskiing. The paved River Mountains Loop Trail passes right by the campground and extends more than 30 miles, connecting to the Historic Railroad Trail. Nearby amenities include the Hemenway Harbor Fishing Pier, boat launch ramps, and marinas offering boat rentals and dining. Lake Mead Cruises offers seasonal trips to Hoover Dam. Temperatures typically exceed 100°F June through August, with May and September seeing highs around 90°F. October through April brings cooler temperatures with lows potentially reaching freezing December through February. The area receives an average of only 4 inches of rain annually. Hoover Dam is minutes away, and nearby Boulder City offers dining, shopping, and adventure options. Wildlife includes numerous bird and lizard species, antelope squirrels, and occasional coyotes.

Directions

Located along Lakeshore Road between Henderson and Boulder City, Nevada. Take U.S. Highway 93 into the Boulder Entrance of Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Follow Lakeshore Road 2 miles and take your second right. The group campground is on the left.
