About

Boulder Beach Campground is an oasis-like destination within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, featuring 154 large paved sites that can accommodate both tents and large RVs. Located just minutes from Las Vegas along the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead, this year-round campground offers a mix of palm trees, oleanders, mature cottonwood trees, and native vegetation that provides shade and privacy between sites. Most campsites feature pristine views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, and the River Mountains. Each site includes a table and fire pit or grill, and can accommodate up to eight people with one camping unit. Paved roads lead to all sites, which are asphalt or concrete. Multiple water spigots and restrooms with flush toilets and sinks are spread throughout the campground. An RV dump station and water refill station are located near the entrance. The campground is about a 20-minute walk from Boulder Beach. Recreation opportunities abound with Boulder Beach, Special Events Beach, Canoe/Kayak Beach, and PWC Beach located 1-2 miles away for swimming, kayaking, and jet skiing. The River Mountains Loop Trail, a paved trail over 30 miles long, passes right by the campground and connects to the Historic Railroad Tunnel Trail. Nearby amenities include Hemenway Harbor Fishing Pier, boat launch ramps, and marinas offering boat rentals and dining. The Hoover Dam is just minutes south, and Boulder City offers additional dining and shopping options.

Directions

Located along Lakeshore Road between Henderson and Boulder City, Nevada. Take U.S. Highway 93 into the Boulder Beach Entrance of the park. Follow Lakeshore Road 2 miles and take your second right. The NPS campground is on the left.
