Callville Bay Campground offers convenient year-round camping just minutes from Las Vegas on the northwest shore of Lake Mead. The 52 paved sites accommodate tents or RVs and can host up to 8 people with one camping unit per site. Two motorized vehicles, four motorcycles, or a combination thereof may occupy each site. Each campsite includes a table and fire pit or grill, with lush vegetation providing shade and privacy between sites. Palm trees, oleanders, mature cottonwood trees, and native plants create a shaded oasis, and select sites offer views of Lake Mead. The campground features multiple water spigots and restrooms with sinks and flush toilets located throughout. An RV dump station and water refill station are positioned near the entrance. While there are no showers onsite, the nearby Callville Bay Resort (within walking distance) has a restaurant, lounge, café, and store. The Callville Summit Trail, a 2.7-mile moderate hike, begins across from the campground and offers spectacular views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, Hemenway Valley, and the River Mountains. The marina offers boat rentals and a launch ramp for those bringing their own watercraft. Wildlife in the area includes numerous bird and lizard species, antelope squirrels, and occasional coyotes. Camping is limited to 30 consecutive days in any developed campground and 90 total days within a 12-month period. Fees are $20 per site ($10 with Interagency Senior or Access passes).

Directions

From Las Vegas, take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Take your first left onto Northshore Road. Follow the road about 11 miles, then turn right toward Callville Bay. After about 4 miles, the campground is on the right.
