Arch Rock Campground

About

Arch Rock Campground is one of two campgrounds in Valley of Fire State Park, Nevada's oldest and most scenic state park. The campground features 29 sites nestled among striking red Aztec sandstone outcrops and desert landscape. Each site includes a shade structure (cabana), picnic table, fire ring, and grill, with gravel roads and camping pads. Unlike the larger Atlatl Rock Campground, Arch Rock has no hookups and vault toilets rather than flush facilities, making it better suited for tent campers and smaller RVs seeking a more primitive experience. Water spigots are available throughout the campground. A dump station is located nearby, and showers are accessible at Atlatl Rock Campground about half a mile away. The campground provides access to numerous hiking trails showcasing ancient petroglyphs, petrified wood, and geological formations throughout the 40,000-acre park.
