About
Eagle Forks Campground is a small, intimate campground located at the confluence of Little Eagle Creek and the Wild and Scenic Eagle Creek in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. With just 7 tent/trailer sites nestled in a shaded forest along the creek, the campground attracts visitors who return year after year to enjoy the peaceful streamside setting and cool mountain environment. Despite its remote location, the campground is relatively easy to access and can fill up quickly, particularly during holiday weekends. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and parking space. One site is wheelchair accessible. Vault toilets are provided, and drinking water is seasonally available from a hand pump. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a $15 per night fee, and Interagency Senior/Access passes receive a 50% discount. The nearby Eagle Forks Trailhead provides access to the Martin Bridge Trail from the south, making this an excellent base camp for hikers and backpackers exploring the Eagle Creek drainage. The area is known for wildlife viewing, photography, and fishing opportunities. Access is via mostly single-lane gravel Forest Road 7735, approximately 50 miles from Baker City.
Directions
From Baker City travel north on Interstate 84 for about 1.5 miles to the exit for Highway 86 to Hells Canyon, Richland and Halfway. Travel east on Highway 86 for about 40 miles to Richland.
