About

Eagle Forks Campground is a small, scenic campground nestled below Little Eagle Creek and the Wild and Scenic Eagle Creek in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. The 7 tent/trailer sites are shaded by the forest canopy and positioned along the creek, creating a peaceful setting that draws many visitors back year after year. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and parking space. One site is ADA accessible. The campground has vault toilets and a hand pump for drinking water, though water availability may be seasonal. There are no hookups, showers, or dump stations. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. The nearby Eagle Forks Trailhead offers hiking access into the surrounding wilderness. Note that recreational gold panning is no longer allowed. The campground fills quickly during holiday weekends due to its easy accessibility, though the final approach is via single-lane gravel roads on Forest Road 7735.

Directions

From Baker City, travel north on Interstate 84 for about 1.5 miles to the exit for Highway 86 to Hells Canyon, Richland and Halfway. Travel east on Highway 86 for about 40 miles to Richland.
