About

Boulder Park Campground is a remote equestrian-focused campground nestled at the end of Forest Road 7755 in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. Designed as a base camp for wilderness pack trips, the facility includes specialized stock amenities at each of its 7 sites: loading ramps, star bunk feeders accommodating 6-8 head, and ample trailer parking. Stock water is available from adjacent Eagle Creek, though no potable water is provided for humans. The campground provides direct access to the Main Eagle Trailhead, which connects to an extensive trail network penetrating the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The surrounding landscape features stunning views of the Wallowa Mountains and the Wild and Scenic Eagle Creek corridor. While developed primarily for equestrian users, campers without stock are welcome to use the sites. Facilities are basic: vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. Visitors must bring their own drinking water and should be prepared for primitive conditions. The access road is narrow and winding, limiting suitability for large RVs. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
