About

Drews Creek Campground offers a peaceful retreat along its namesake creek in the Fremont-Winema National Forest, approximately 35 minutes southwest of Lakeview, Oregon. This intimate campground features only three campsites, making it ideal for families or small groups seeking solitude. A bridge crosses Drews Creek to access the camping area, which is shaded by towering ponderosa pines and surrounded by lush riparian vegetation. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The campground also includes a day use area with five additional picnic tables, two fire rings, and horseshoe pits for recreation. Two vault toilets serve the area, one for campers and one for day users. There is no potable water available, so visitors must pack in an adequate supply. The campground operates at full service from May 15 through October 15, with reduced services available during the off-season from October 16 through May 14. There is no fee to camp, and sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The area sees light usage, offering excellent opportunities for those seeking a quiet, primitive camping experience in Oregon's high desert forest.
