Jane's Reservoir Campground
Open — Open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. Road access in winter depends on snow conditions. 14-day stay limit.
About
Located in the remote Devil's Garden area of Modoc National Forest, Jane's Reservoir Campground is known for its true beauty and solitude. The campground circles the southeastern section of the lake with two distinct camping areas: one near the entrance and another further south along the shore. A primitive dirt boat ramp is located just north of the entrance road, providing lake access for anglers and boaters. This lightly-used campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees. The setting features juniper woodland and sagebrush typical of the high desert country, with the reservoir offering fishing opportunities. The remote location along Crowder Flat Road makes this an ideal destination for campers seeking peace and quiet away from crowds. Campers should come prepared as no drinking water is provided. The campground is equipped with vault toilets and sites have basic amenities. The 14-day camping limit allows for extended stays in this beautiful, undeveloped area of northeastern California.
Directions
