About

Dewey Bridge Group Sites are located along the Colorado River in a scenic red rock canyon, managed by the BLM Moab Field Office. The area provides a quieter alternative to the busier campgrounds closer to Moab while still offering easy access to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks via State Route 128. The three group sites (A, B, and C) each accommodate up to 25 people and include fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets, and shade shelters. An adjacent boat ramp serves as a popular put-in or take-out point for rafting trips on the Colorado and Dolores Rivers. The surrounding area offers excellent four-wheel drive routes and mountain biking trails. This is a primitive camping area with no potable water, dump stations, or electric hookups. Campers must bring all water supplies and pack out trash. The superb dark skies make this an excellent stargazing destination.

Directions

From Moab, drive north to the junction with Highway 128. Turn right and travel 29 miles along the river road. The group sites are to your right as you enter the Dewey Bridge campground.
