About
Dewey Bridge Group Sites offer a wonderful retreat for groups looking to explore Utah's canyon country. Located on the banks of the Colorado River with views across to the sandstone Entrada Bluffs, these BLM-managed sites provide an ideal basecamp for outdoor adventures. The campground features three group sites that can each accommodate up to 25 people, making it perfect for large gatherings, river trips, and group expeditions. The sites include fire rings, picnic tables, vault toilets, and shade shelters, though no water, electricity, or dump stations are available. An adjacent boat ramp makes this a popular starting and ending point for rafting trips on the Colorado and Dolores Rivers. The area offers access to world-class mountain biking trails, four-wheel drive routes like Kokopelli's Trail, and spectacular hiking opportunities. With superb dark skies, the location is excellent for stargazing. Scenic State Route 128 connects Dewey Bridge to Moab, approximately 45 minutes away, where visitors can find dining, shopping, sports rentals, and tour companies. Nearby Arches and Canyonlands National Parks are easily accessible. The remote location offers stunning desert geology, impressive vistas, and a true wilderness camping experience for groups seeking adventure in southeastern Utah.
Directions
From Moab, drive north to the junction with Highway 128. Turn right and travel 29 miles along the river road. The group sites are to your right as you enter the Dewey Bridge campground.
