Oak Grove Campground

Oak Grove Campground is a primitive, tent-only BLM campground perched along the Colorado River on scenic Highway 128 in Grand County, Utah. Located about 7 miles east of the Highway 191 junction, the campground offers seven individual sites with stunning views of the river canyon and red rock formations. This is a quieter alternative to some of the busier developed campgrounds in the Moab area. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a fee of $20 per night payable at the campground by cash or check only. Each site accommodates a maximum of 10 people and 2 vehicles, with a 14-night stay limit within any 30-day period. No trailers or large vehicles are permitted due to the terrain and site design. Amenities are minimal: vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, dump station, or hookups. Campers should bring adequate water supplies. The Colorado River runs adjacent to the campsites, though visitors are warned not to enter the river without required life jackets due to dangerous undercurrents.

From the junction of Highway 191 and Highway 128, drive east 6.9 miles along the Colorado River on Highway 128. The campground entrance is on the left.
