About

Lower Bumping Campground is part of the larger Bumping Lake Campground complex in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, located on the scenic south shore of Bumping Lake at approximately 3,400 feet elevation. The lower loop sits at the end of Bumping River Road and offers direct access to a boat launch, making it a prime destination for fishing and boating enthusiasts. The campground provides a classic Pacific Northwest forest camping experience with sites nestled among conifers. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Vault toilets and drinking water from hand pumps are available throughout the campground. No utility hookups are provided, keeping the setting rustic. Trailers up to 50 feet can be accommodated, and ADA-accessible sites are available. Bumping Lake offers opportunities for fishing, kayaking, and motorized boating. Several hiking trails in the area access the William O. Douglas Wilderness, providing backcountry exploration options for those seeking more remote terrain.
