About
Jellison Place Campground is a dispersed camping area situated along Hopley Creek in the scenic Little Belt Mountains of Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The site offers 10 established camping spots, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. This is a primitive camping experience with vault toilets but no potable water, requiring visitors to bring their own water supply and pack out all trash. The area is particularly popular with ATV enthusiasts, as it provides access to nearby off-road trails. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit. The surrounding forest landscape offers opportunities for horseback riding and picnicking in addition to motorized recreation. Bears may frequent the area, and mandatory food storage is required. All food must be kept out of sight in approved containers and removed from the area after eating. The campground is located approximately 25 miles northwest of Harlowton along County Road 102 and Forest Service Road 382.
