About

Located in the heart of Charlie Russell Country, Dry Wolf Campground sits along Dry Wolf Creek in the Little Belt Mountains of Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The campground's 25 sites are surrounded by Bandbox Mountain, where visitors can discover marine fossils, a reminder of the area's ancient past. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets, drinking water from a hand pump during warmer months, and each site features a fire ring or grill and picnic table. Two fishing platforms along Dry Wolf Creek offer convenient access for anglers. The campground can accommodate trailers up to 45 feet in the largest sites. All sites are available first-come, first-served with no advance reservations. A food storage order is in effect from March 1st to December 1st to prevent human-bear conflicts. Camping is limited to 16 consecutive days, and dogs are welcome on leash. The campground is accessible via a combination of gravel and dirt roads, with the last 8 miles being single-lane.
